Ruth, a Story of Redemption

"The seeds of the future dynasty were sown in the private family of Bethlehem. That the greatest king of Israel should trace his roots to a destitute widow and her Moabite daughter-in-law and an aging bachelor from the humble town of Bethlehem, is hereby portrayed as a supreme divine accomplishment." -Dr. Daniel Block

During one of the darkest periods of Israel's history God continued to fulfill his covenant promises. The Savior King was coming, and with that, redemption for his people. An amazing ending to a beautiful narrative only masterminded by the God of providence.

Kathy & Nathan's Wedding

Saturday, February 3, 2018 was a beautiful day as Nathan & Kathy were united marriage.  It was a great joy to see the culmination of answered prayer as well as to fellowship and rejoice with so many special friends, some of whom traveled a great distance to be with us.  We are eagerly anticipating seeing the professional photos, but we are also so grateful for the gorgeous candid photos that a friend, Elizabeth Frazer, took for us.  This post is a result of her talent.  More photos are to come, but for now, here is a peek into some of what happened during the day:

Benjamin helped pass out some of the programs.

Nathan with his Dad, BJ.

Sarah and all the other little nieces are now professional flower girls having been in two weddings back-to-back!

Katie got tuckered out playing the part...

Happiness was written all over their faces.

It was a joy to have a large group from Pinehaven Presbyterian Church and RTS Jackson come and celebrate with us.

This photo made me cry.  I miss Kathy so much...

The happy couple is off on their honeymoon!  We look forward to seeing them next week for several days before they leave for Duluth, Minnesota.  Continue to pray for them as they begin their life together.  And pray for those back home who will miss their presence dearly.
